Gout can be relieved by drinking more water. I just read in the paper today Gout and gout symptoms can be relieved by drinking more water. It says 5 to 8 glasses of water a day and you are 40% less likely to have a gout attack.
It says its because dehydration allows uric acid to concentrate in the blood and that makes crystal formation more likely.
For those people who suffer with gout as many in my family do this could be a big help along with the deep breathing exercises that you mention for the pain relief.
This is really a very simple treatment for gout that anybody can easily do.
